After seeing my friend post her recipe for buffalo cauliflower, I had to try it myself. After all, the recipe seemed really easy!
First you heat up the cauliflower in a skillet and then let it cook for a while until it's soft. You can use Miyoko's vegan butter or olive oil to saute it. I added himalayan sea salt and pepper as it started to cook and soften up. Add more dairy free butter or oil to the pan as needed.
You're probably wondering why it's called Green Dragon Buffalo Cauliflower. Well, because I actually realized halfway through that I didn't even have any red hot sauce. Luckily I had green sauce though!
I smothered the cauliflower in the pan with the green hot sauce and let it all soak in. I let it cook for about 5-10 more minutes. It was ready to serve. I sprinkled nutritional yeast and paprika over the top and voila! It was delicious and so full of spicy (but not too spicy) flavor. It was just enough. Even Jason loved it! My only regret is not making more.
Green Dragon Buffalo Cauliflower
1 head cauliflower (cut into florets
1/2 cup Miyoko's vegan butter or Olive oil of your choice
1/2 cup Trader Joe's Green Dragon Hot Sauce (or to taste)
pepper to taste
The recipe is pretty much up to you. You can add more or less hot sauce depending on how you like it. Same as the spices. Make sure the cauliflower is soft before you put in the hot sauce, so it will soak in. The nutritional yeast and paprika make a great topping and final touch.
